Michael Godard has
expanded his line of barware products, and the new items are beginning
to arrive. They are fantastic! One of the newly designed products is
his collection of round coasters. They are now made of moisture
absorbent material. They are very much like the thirsty stone products
you may have seen in department and gift stores. The back of the
coasters are lined with cork to protect your tabletop surfaces. Each
coaster measures slightly more than 4 inches in diameter (about 10 cm)
and includes a black, wooden coaster caddy. The set includes 4 coasters
and arrives in a clear plastic “box.”
This set of four coasters has Godard's illustration titled No Lifeguard, which
features a laid-back olive floating in a vodka martini. The background
includes a Russian labeled bottle of vodka, and a bottle of vermouth.
Michael Godard is especially known for the incredible details he
includes in his artwork. From the refraction of the light seen in the
martini glass, to the reflection of the olive's belly in the side of
the glass, Godard's attention to the little details give his work a
photographic quality and breathes life into all his characters..
