Smokin,’
Drinkin,’ and Gamblin’… they’re represented in this new set of coasters
by Michael Godard. This is a set of 6 ceramic coasters which include 4
different illustrations. These are part of the collection titled “All
the Vices.” This set makes a great gift and a perfect addition to the
“Don’t Drink and Draw” products. It comes in a well-made covered storage
container and keeps the coasters together. The coasters are white ceramic
with artwork painted over a black background, approximately 4 inches in
diameter, have a foam non-slip backing, and feature 2 “Blackjack and Cokes”,
2 “Money to Burns,” 1 “Royal Flush,” and 1 “Insurance.”

| “Money
to Burn” features a scotch on the rocks sitting on the corner of a crumpled
$100 bill. The other end of the bill is on fire and appears to be lighting
the end of a cigar. A wisp of smoke gently caresses the end of the hand-rolled,
expensive Cuban. It certainly is an extraordinary lighter, and hence,
“Money to Burn.”

| In
“Blackjack and Coke,” the Jack of Hearts reaches off the surface of the
card and comes to life as he stirs the mix. Look into the front surface
of the glass. Is it a reflection of the action in the room, or do the
ice cubes have a life of their own? The right side of the glass is a resting
place for the ace of hearts. The background is black and mysterious.

| “Royal
Flush” is all hearts…from the 10 up to the ace. Black and white chips
appear at the upper right corner of the ace, while a half-smoked cigar
rests in the ashtray in the lower right. The smoke from the stogie dances
and swirls in a frame around the best hand of poker one could wish for.
The green felt surface of the poker table makes the red and white of the
cards stand out. Read ’em and weep fellas.

| "Insurance.”
It has the perfect hand of Blackjack or “21.” Just the kind of luck one
hopes for at the tables in Vegas. The background shows the green felt
of the blackjack table and the “insurance” line is clearly visible. A
“scotch on the rocks” rests neatly on a cocktail napkin while three stacks
of chips sit ready for the next bet.
